Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Optional garnish: fresh parsley, chopped

Optional: additional Parmesan for serving

Instructions

Cook the Fettuccine: In a large pot of salty boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water, and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turns pink and is opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, add the butter and garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant but not browned. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.

Add Cheese: Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.

Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Add the drained fettuccine and cooked shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

Serve: Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your delicious Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Delight!
