Ingredients

12 oz mozzarella cheese sticks (cut in half)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking spray (or olive oil spray)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will help the dippers cook evenly and prevent sticking.

Prepare the Coatings: In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station:

      - Bowl 1: Place the flour.

        - Bowl 2: Beat the eggs with a whisk until smooth.

          - Bowl 3: Combine breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in it.

            Coat the Cheese Sticks:

              - Start by dredging each mozzarella stick half in the flour, ensuring it's fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.

                - Next, dip the floured stick into the beaten eggs, allowing any extra egg to drip off.

                  - Finally, roll the stick in the seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere the breadcrumbs to the cheese. Repeat for all sticks.

Arrange and Spray: Place the coated mozzarella dippers on the prepared baking sheet. Leave some space between each stick to ensure they bake evenly. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, then carefully flip each cheese stick and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Cool and Serve: Remove the mozzarella dippers from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
