Crockpot Apple Chili Turkey Sliders

1 lb ground turkey

1 medium apple, peeled and finely diced (preferably a sweet variety like Honeycrisp)

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

Slider buns (about 8-10)

Optional: sliced avocado, cheese, or toppings of your choice

Instructions
 

Prepare the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, diced apple, chopped onion, minced garlic, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

    Mix Thoroughly: Use your hands or a large spoon to mix all the ingredients together until well combined.

      Add to Crockpot: Transfer the turkey mixture into your Crockpot and pour in the apple cider vinegar and honey. Stir gently to ensure everything is mixed well.

        Cook Low & Slow: Set the Crockpot on low and cook for 4-6 hours, or until the turkey is cooked through and the flavors meld together beautifully.
