Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

1/4 cup cold cream cheese, cubed

2-3 tablespoons cold water

Extra sea salt for sprinkling

Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, grated Parmesan cheese, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried thyme. Whisk these together until well blended.

Cut in Butter and Cream Cheese: Add the cubed cold butter and cream cheese to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter and cream cheese into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Water: Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough comes together. It should be moist but not sticky. If it's too crumbly, add a little more water.

Roll Out Dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll it out to about 1/8-inch thick. For uniform crackers, you can use a pizza cutter or a knife to cut the dough into squares or circles.

Transfer to Baking Sheet: Place the cut crackers onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one. Sprinkle with a pinch of extra sea salt for added flavor.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the crackers are crisp. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

Cool and Garnish: Once baked, remove the crackers from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. If desired, garnish with fresh herbs for an added touch of flavor.

Serve: Enjoy these crunchy herbed cheese crackers on their own, with your favorite dip, or paired with cheeses and charcuterie.
