Ingredients

14 oz (400g) firm tofu, pressed and cubed

2 cups broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 carrot, julienned

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 inch ginger, grated

3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce

1 tablespoons sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for frying)

1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for crispy tofu)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Tofu: If you haven't done so already, press the tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into cubes and, for extra crispiness, toss the cubes gently in cornstarch until lightly coated.

Sauté the Tofu: In a large non-stick skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tofu cubes in a single layer. Fry for about 5-7 minutes, turning to brown all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Cook the Veggies: In the same pan, add the sesame oil. Sauté the garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Then add the broccoli, bell pepper, and carrot. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until the veggies are vibrant and slightly tender.

Combine Tofu and Sauce: Return the fried tofu to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Toss everything gently to combine. Allow it to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through and allow the flavors to meld.

Serve: Remove the stir-fry from heat. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions over cooked rice or noodles.
