4 large navel oranges

1 cup dark chocolate chips (at least 70% cocoa)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Sea salt or flaky salt, for sprinkling (optional)

1 tablespoon of finely grated orange zest (for garnish, optional)

Prep the Oranges: Begin by washing the oranges thoroughly and drying them with a clean towel. Slice the oranges into half-inch thick rounds, discarding the ends. You should get about 8-12 rounds depending on the size of the oranges.

    Freeze the Slices: Arrange the orange slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place them in the freezer for at least 1 hour until they are completely frozen.

      Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

        Dip the Frozen Oranges: Remove the frozen orange slices from the freezer. One at a time, dip each slice into the melted chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off before placing them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Use a fork or tongs for a clean dip.
