Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or your favorite yogurt)

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/3 cup walnuts, chopped

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

Prepare the Bananas: Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into thick rounds (about 1/2 inch). Arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. This will help prevent them from sticking to each other while freezing.

Make the Yogurt Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir well until you have a smooth and creamy mixture.

Coat the Banana Slices: Dip each banana slice into the yogurt mixture, making sure to coat it thoroughly. Allow any excess yogurt to drip off.

Add the Walnuts: Immediately sprinkle chopped walnuts over one side of the coated banana slice. If you're using chocolate chips, you can sprinkle those on top as well, pressing them gently into the yogurt to adhere.

Freeze the Banana Bombs: Place the yogurt-coated banana slices (walnut side up) back on the lined baking sheet. Once all slices are finished, place the baking sheet in the freezer. Freeze for about 2-3 hours, or until the yogurt is completely firm.

Serve and Enjoy: Once frozen, remove the banana walnut bombs from the baking sheet. You can enjoy them immediately or store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one month. Before serving, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt over the treats to enhance the flavor.
