Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Sliced almonds or walnuts for topping (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Base: Start by peeling the bananas and placing them in a blender or a food processor. Add the Greek yogurt, cooled coffee, cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no banana lumps.

Incorporate Chocolate: If you choose to use chocolate chips, fold them into the mixture after blending for a delightful surprise in every bite.

Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, allowing the edges to hang over the sides for easy removal later.

Pour and Spread: Pour the banana-yogurt mixture into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Freeze: Cover the dish with plastic wrap or foil and place it in the freezer. Freeze until solid, approximately 4-6 hours or preferably overnight.

Cut into Squares: Once fully frozen, remove the dish from the freezer. Lift the frozen yogurt block out of the dish using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares of your desired size.

Serve: Optionally, sprinkle sliced almonds or walnuts on top for added texture and flavor. Serve immediately or store the squares in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month.
