Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets (about 6 ounces each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (or more, to taste)

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika (optional, for added color)

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prep the Tilapia: Rinse the tilapia fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika, if using.

Melt the Butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

Cook the Tilapia: Carefully place the seasoned tilapia fillets in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. If the skillet starts to brown too much, lower the heat.

Add Lemon Juice: Once the fish is cooked, drizzle the fresh lemon juice over the fillets and spoon some of the garlic butter sauce over the top.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped parsley over the fillets. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of freshness.
