Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast

½ cup granulated sugar

1 tsp salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed (about 110°F)

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Cinnamon Filling:

½ cup brown sugar, packed

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Maple Glaze:

1 ½ cups powdered sugar

¼ cup pure maple syrup

1-2 tbsp milk or cream (to adjust consistency)

½ tsp vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Make the Dough:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined.

      - In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.

        - Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

          Prepare the Filling:

            - In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

              - Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 12x18 inches. Spread the softened butter over the entire surface, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly on top.

                Roll and Cut:

                  - Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Use a sharp knife or a pizza cutter to slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

                    - Place the rolls in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish (or two round cake pans for a different presentation). Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.

                      Bake the Rolls:

                        - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

                          Prepare the Maple Glaze:

                            - While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl. Adjust the milk to achieve your desired consistency for drizzling.

                              Glaze the Rolls:

                                - After removing the rolls from the oven, let them cool for about 10 minutes. Drizzle the maple glaze generously over the warm cinnamon rolls.

                                  Serve and Enjoy:

                                    - Serve the maple glazed cinnamon rolls warm, and watch them disappear in moments! Perfect for brunch or as a sweet treat.
